INDEPENDENCE, Kan. - On February 25 Independence hired Chris Taylor as its new head coach for Lady Pirates Volleyball. Coach Taylor is from Tampa, Florida and brings 16 years of collegiate coaching experience.
"I'm very happy to be here in Independence and can't wait to get things going," Taylor said. "We want to play fast and aggressive so that we put the other team on defense and make them react to us with strong ball control and service an even defense while being aggressive with our serving and offense." "I hope to grow this program back to where it was winning conference and regionals to add more plaques to the walls."
