Call of Duty Gold Team highlights another successful week for Esports

INDEPENDENCE, Kan. - The Independence Community College Eports team wrapped up another successful week of competition with multiple teams building upon their winning records so far this year. 

Call of Duty: 

The Call of Duty Gold team remained undefeated in the Premier League as they knocked off Arizona State 3-0. They now gear up to take on Ottawa University on Thursday. 

The Call of Duty Blue team continued their great start as they took down Emporia State in a close 3-2 match to push their record to 3-1 and move them up to second place in their league. 

Counter-Strike:

The Indy Counter-Strike team remained undefeated as well, as they defeated the University of Cincinnati 2-1 to move them into a tie for first place in their division. 

Rainbow Six Siege: 

Another victory for the Rainbow Six Siege team moved their overall record to 3-1, as they defeated Alexandria Community College 2-0 to move them into second place. 

Rocket League: 

The Rocket League team suffered their first loss of the season as they fell to top ranked Seminole State - Florida 3-2 in a close match. The loss moved them to second place in their league. 

Fortnite: 

Four members of the Fortnite team qualified for the Fortnite National Championship last week. James Rutledge, Isaiah Pollard, James Linck and Jason Smart were the four members who competed and they represented well, placing 19th and 22nd in the national event. 

Smash Ultimate: 

The Smash Ultimate team is excited to begin their season this upcoming week, as they will square off against Pittsburg State on Wednesday.
